Sure, the good ol days weren't always good

And tomorrow might not be as bad as it seems

If you think I’m feeling older

and missing my younger days

Then you should have known me much better

My past never got in my way

Life can change its mind

and love can still surprise you mysteriously

But somewhere along the way

They teach you not to take it all so seriously

And if growing older means that I've learned a thing or two

Then I’ll wear the evidence of laughter

Proof I lived them through

So here’s to all we’ve carried

and all we’ve yet to face—

To the love that continuously discovers us
